Support from MAKÜ Faculty of Veterinary Medicine to Breeders: Efforts to Prevent Calf Losses Continue

Burdur Mehmet Akif Ersoy University (MAKÜ) Faculty of Veterinary Medicine continues to contribute to the livestock sector within the framework of its regional development mission. Field studies are being conducted to prevent calf losses and to solve infertility problems in line with the demands of producers.

In this context, Faculty of Veterinary Medicine Faculty Members Dr. Lecturer Atakan Çortu and Lecturer Ali Burak Dörtkardeş, along with doctoral students Işınsu Aytop and Ramazan Umar conducted investigations in Susuz Village of Bucak district. As a result of comprehensive evaluations, detailed information was conveyed to breeders on preventing calf losses.

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine officials stated that they will continue their efforts to develop livestock in the region and to find solutions to the problems faced by producers.
